This weekend we took a trip to Hinton Ampner National Trust in Hampshire. It is a beautiful country house, with peaceful gardens to walk around, and to take in the views over the South Downs.

I’m really looking forward to the summer months, they keep appearing now and again to tease us, but I’m sure they will arrive properly very soon (as I say that it is pouring with rain!). So now I should start to think about summer clothes, and what I am going to wear when we go on holiday this year.

JD Williams got in contact with me, and asked if I wanted to pick some clothing to feature on the blog. JD Williams was a new site to me, but I have since seen the adverts for them with Lorraine Kelly on them! My first impressions of JD Williams was WOW what a lot of choice, and really good prices. You could search easily, and pick lots of different options of colours, lengths, styles and sizing.

I decided to put together an outfit, compromising of a black maxi dress, pom pom kimono, rose gold sandals, rose gold sunglasses and a rose gold bangle.

When the items arrived I was over the moon, they arrived quickly, and were really good quality. I was mostly impressed by the Rose Embroidery maxi dress as it was only £29 but it looked liked it would have been much more than that.  The detailing in the embroidery is so pretty, and it hangs really nicely too.

I wanted to add a cover up for this dress, it doesn’t have any sleeves and sometimes as the day goes on it gets a little chilly having your arms out. This Pom Pom Kimono works great for that, again it hangs nicely. I have worn it was jeans and a top, and it worked well with this outfit too.

You would have noticed I picked out a few rose gold items to go with this. When I was viewing this dress online, I noticed the dress embroidery had some gold stitching within the pattern. So picking this colour out brightened up the outfit, and allowed me to add a bit of bling!

The Heavenly Sole sandals are just what they state they are! With super soft leather soles, and cushioned, they are so comfortable to wear. I really struggle with shoes as I have a narrow foot, but these fitted really nicely. I noticed on JD Williams website, they do lots of different width of shoes, so great options.

The length usually is an issue with maxi dresses, for reference I am 5ft 5″ and this sits perfectly on me. I didn’t feel like I was going to trip up on it, but it also could easily be shortened if you want it higher.

Overall I was really pleased with my shopping experience at JD Williams, I certainly will be shopping there again, and I hope you will do too!

Currently they’re offering 20% off your first order, so go and see if there is anything that takes your fancy at JD Williams.
