Our weekend in pictures, a little diary of what we get up to at the weekends together.

Saturday 8th April 2017

Today we fancied going for a day out somewhere new, the weather was so beautiful that we wanted to make the most of it. So we choose to visit Pepperbox Hill. It is a National Trust place, but open to anyone and has a small free car park.

My husband comes from Wiltshire (we are Hampshire) and I met him whilst he was living there. So I cannot tell you how many times he has driven past this place, and we never even knew it was there!

These little twins (I presume they are!) are so sweet, I have a soft spot for any twins!! They were skipping around the field following their Mum around.

I have a thing for Rapeseed fields, we call them ‘Yellow Fields’ and the kids shout out when they see one!! I always plan to get some photos in these fields each year, and last year I was gutted as my normal place didn’t have them that year. I didn’t know where else to access them……well we found one this year! Lily was so chuffed as she found it first!!

I LOVE this photo of Me and Lily, she loves having her photo taken and will now shout out to me when she thinks there is a perfect photo opportunity!!

What I love about going on a walk with the kids, is that they are playing, climbing and finding places to explore all the time. It is easy to take them to a playground, and to play on the ‘normal’ play equipment. However they are playing on natures playground, and learning to explore new places too.

If you saw last week, Gus had his cone on and wasn’t allowed proper walks….here he is running with Lily, he was so pleased to have freedom!!

However it wasn’t so fun when he got back home….I had been desperate to give him a shower and trim up!! Although he doesn’t complain too much, as he is getting so much attention!!

Sunday 9th April 2017

Back to the normal routine of Sunday swimming! Daddy has had to step up to the plate having twin girls, we help each other out as much as we can, and that involves drying and putting up long hair!!

£80 on new trainers……downside of the warmer weather arriving, they can’t wear their boots anymore!

Who loves bath bombs? My kids have never tried one before, we don’t have a bath, only a shower. The holiday house we are going to soon has a bath……so I purchased some for them to try out! Doesn’t this one look cool!

Back home to household jobs! I am so glad my hubby loves DIY, as much as I love decorating! We had some old fence posts that had rotten, they have been wobbling for ages. So we had to replace them, however it has turned into a bigger job now, as we have decided to add some trellis on top too. They only installed 4ft fence panels before we moved in, and we have new neighbours moving in soon. So perfect opportunity to pop in some more privacy.

Grandma and Grandad popped over with some Easter Eggs today, we let them start them, it spreads out the silly amount of chocolate they will be getting doesn’t it!

Yes your are right on what you are thinking……that water came right my way!!

After all our time out in the fresh air and gardening, we all curled up to watch a film together, perfect Sunday.

If you don’t already follow me on Instagram I also post a daily picture, and at the end of the year I put them together into a Photobook.

  4. Such a lovely place to be, totally somewhere I would love to take my gang. My little boy calls it going on a mini adventure. Love going out now that the weather is warmer.
