When we renovated our bathroom last year I did cut a few corners to try to save money, we purchased a new tap from an auction site, it was lovely, did the job but it did use to get a little stuck and blast out a bit too much water now and again! The kids struggled with it and usually ended up with wet tops.

So when Soakology gave me the opportunity to review a new bathroom tap I was over the moon at the thought of no more soaking wet tops.

I have always wanted a waterfall style tap, I love the look of the water pouring out of it.

We chose the Soakology Arte Basin Mixer Tap with click waste, priced at £46.80 but reduced to £35.00 at the time of writing.

I think this is a really reasonable price for a tap, I didn’t pay much less than that for a new one on the auction site. I wish I had paid a little more in the first place as you really do get the quality. When it arrived I was impressed with the quality of it, it was robust and sturdy. The main thing that stood out to me was how easy it was to lift the lever, I was hoping that it stayed like that when installed.

It was really easy for hubby to install, I was really pleased on how nice it did look once installed. We had to adjust the water pressure as it poured over the edge of the basin when put on hot and cold mix but that was easy to do as well.  It still was really easy to lift up and use, it didn’t get stuck and so smooth.

Mother in Law came over, she has arthritic hands and struggled with our old tap. She loved this tap and could use it with such ease.

Look how lovely it looks once on, I love this waterfall style!

The kids came home and proceeded to turn it on and off with ease, they love it! So it has the kids approval as well. They kept saying to me ‘it’s so easy to drink out of!’ funny things!

Soakology have a great range of taps of all different styles so go and take a look as you won’t be disappointed at the quality of the products.

*I received this tap for the purpose of this review, however all opinions are of my own.

  1. I’ve never seen a waterfall tap like this before – it’s gorgeous. We’re in the process of fitting out the shower room and new downstairs toilet in our extension so I’ll have to bear this one in mind.
