This week has been half term, as you can imagine I didn’t get much house things done!!
The weather has been good so we have been able to get out and about.
We have been to Eastleigh Lakeside Railway there is a lovely countrypark, free parking, fishing lake, play area, picnic areas and the miniature train.
We all got on and off we went! The kids loved it, proper little steam train with whistles! It stops half way around at a little station where there is a play area and picnic tables. Then you carry on around through a tunnel and around the countrypark and back to the station. You could make a lovely day out of it in the summer when it’s a little warmer!!
Another day I met up with a friend who has twins and and a went to Holly Hill in Warsash, which is a lovely little countrypark which has a large lake with ducks to feed, lots of natural play things, large fallen trees to climb on and make up stories and games and bridges to walk over! It is so lovely to watch all 5 children happily playing together and exploring.
On another day we met up with a friend and her two children and went to Itchen Valley Countrypark wow it was COLD!! The temp had really dropped this day! We did the play trail around the countrpark which is made up of wooden play equiptment and leads you up to a large play area, following it down the otherside and it leads you down the main entrance and building. They have a barn that is full of information on wildlife and the countrypark. As it was half term they we’re doing clay hedgehogs crafts! So for £1.50 per child they could make a clay hedgehogs with twig spikes! It kept 5 children aged 3-8 very happy and they left with their clay hedgehogs to go home and show their daddies!
On every Friday I go to my local twin club Fareham and Gosport Twin Club I have been going since my twins we’re 8 weeks old. I have made some lovely friends that I will stay in contact with forever. My twins have made some lovely friends too. They have given me support and encouragment when I needed it and there is always someone there that will listen to my moans or give me advice! I suggest to everyone who has twins to see if there is a local twin club near them and join!
So this is my first school holidays where I have got out lots and lots on my own with all 3! I did it!! Seams silly to be saying that but any mum of twins and also any mums of twins plus more will understand it is an achivment to do all this in one week!!!
So bring on the the Easter Holidays!!!
