I am taking part in the Me and Mine photo project with Dear Beautiful for my 2nd year. This project is all about capturing your family each month, and not just getting pictures a couple of times a year at photo shoots or at special occasions.

I have looked forward to this month, with half term and hubby off to enjoy, I knew we would have some nice adventures. We have indeed!

I have decided I am going to try to blog each week about where we have been, this gives people ideas of where to go with their kids and it also pushes us to find new places to visit. There is so much around where we live but we just don’t seek them out enough. So I wanted to change this, it has been great fun so far!

So I have a few photos to choose from this month, our trip to Durdle Door in the half term was fantastic, finding somewhere full of history and so stunning to look at. I managed to get some family photos of us there, although they weren’t as good as I hoped.

I took my tripod along to get a photo of us but there wasn’t many places to put it and was quite busy, so I took this selfie of us, overlooking the cove. However a lady got in the way, which has been cropped out!

So the lady who got in the way offered to take one for us, it turned out dark but you can see the stunning cove behind us.

So once we made it down the huge steps to the cove, we were greeted by Durdle Door it’s self! So we had to get one in front of it didn’t we!

However my favorite family photo this month was when we visited Netley Abbey, the sun was shining and the kids had a great time running around. I love the green grass and the stonework of the Abbey behind us.

We had to get Berkley the Hearing Dog for the Deaf puppy in the pictures this month, these will be the last ones of him with us. He is off to advance training this week, keep your fingers crossed for him as he is a sensitive boy who doesn’t really like change. So this is going to be a big change for him. However the end result is wonderful and hopefully he can help someone very much and provide fantastic company.

So next month we will try to get our new puppy in the picture……another Hearing Dog Puppy to train up!

  1. Lovely family photos. We visited Durdle Door for the first time last October – it’s really lovely and makes a great backdrop! The Abbey looks a really nice place to visit too! #meandmineproject

  2. What a lovely family picture. We are also a family of five and it can be so hard to get everyone looking the same way and smiling. I really want to start getting more pictures of the five of us together as both the twins and J are growing up so quick! x

Such a good idea to bring a tripod! Why have I never thought of that? Great pictures!

  4. Looks like you had some lovely days out! I love seeing get families out, all wrapped up and still making the most of any nice weather we have, even if it’s freezing! X

  5. Lovely photos I’ve been meaning to join in with this linky for awhile now but keep forgetting to take a photo.
