Our weekend in pictures, a little diary of what we get up to at the weekends together.

Saturday 11th February

A nice slow start to the day, with breakfast in bed, and then off out for the afternoon.

I had spotted on Instagram a beautiful place to visit, Welford Park is best known for its large display of Snowdrops. One of the best in the UK, however it is also location for The Great British Bake Off!

We were so lucky as well, because the snow was falling the whole time we were there. The kids loved running around trying to catch the snowflakes!

Once we got back home, me and hubby were having a nice evening together. We’re not together on Valentine’s Day, so we wanted to spend an evening together, nice meal and watch a film.

Sunday 12th February 2016

My crazy girls! They were very excited as they have both moved up a swimming group today!

After swimming the rest of the day was spent getting jobs done, hubby was doing the girls bedroom and the kids had homework to do. Of course this is the most relaxing way of getting homework done…..eating sweets and curled up on the sofa!!

Whilst we were at Welford yesterday, they had their own home reared pigs. So we supported them and purchased some bacon and sausages. They were very tasty!

I was blogging, and editing my images from the Welford Park visit and came across this one. It’s nothing special, but I took a picture of the snow on my jacket, only to zoom in on it and to see a perfect snowflake. It was a great opportunity to show the kids that snowflakes actually look like the snowflakes we made from paper!

I was on dinner duty tonight, but Gus felt he needed to join me and curl up right up to my feet!

If you don’t already follow me on Instagram I also post a daily picture, and at the end of the year I put them together into a Photobook.

  1. The photo of the snow drops has made me smile. They are my mums favourite and she had a kidney transplant today.
