Our weekend in pictures, a little diary of what we get up to at the weekends together.

It is a 3 day weekend this weekend, so I added bank holiday Monday to the weekend in pictures too!

Saturday 29nd April 2017

I am afraid we have more gardening! I popped up our garden plans post this week if you fancy having a nose at what we have planned with our garden. It is going to take a lot of hard work, and all the hard landscaping is done by hubby. Due to my bad joints and back, I cannot help him with it. He has worked so hard this weekend, and dug out all the footings for the new planter walls.

We found this huge looking thing in the mud and had no clue what it was! It looked like something you would eat on ‘I’m a celebrity’!! After asking Google, we figured it was a Stag Beetle larvae! I had never seen anything like it before, so there was our lesson of the day!!

I took the children out to the library and left Daddy working, we hadn’t been to our local library in years. Don’t get me wrong the children read, and get books from school, or all the ones they own. However I wanted to get back into taking them along, to give them more opportunities to pick up more interesting books.

I wasn’t into gardening a few years ago, however I am really enjoying it. I don’t really like the upkeep of it, and having to keep weeding! But I do enjoy the results, I love waiting to see what comes up each year, and if the things I planted last year re appear again the next year.

This Clematis wasn’t planted by us, it was here when we moved in and I loved it. So we moved it to another place of the garden that worked better for us. We moved it at the wrong time of the year, but it was either going to survive the move or not! and it did! It smothers the fence now, and has loved the move!!

Time for some garden games, I am really enjoying seeing the kids love the garden this year. They are quite happy out there, and will play for hours out there.

We purchased this climbing frame off eBay about 3 years ago, and it is still being used so much. It was the best item we have purchased the kids.ย

Sunday 30th April 2017

Time for their weekly swimming lesson, they always run to the leisure centre!

Oh Gus can’t be left out in this weekends photos!ย

Anyone watched Big Heads on ITV? I laughed my head off at it!! I don’t even know why I laughed so much, but it was so funny to watch!

Monday 1st May 2017

How it is May already? My little twins are 8 this month?!

Poor Sofia bashed her front tooth, so an ice cream would make it all better wouldn’t it?!

We headed off our for a well needed stomp around Moor’s Valley Countrypark. This place has the best play trail for kids, and I could tell mine really needed to have a climb and run around today.

Me and Lily built our den together! Then someone bashed a log along Sofias shin and that of course turned to tears (I don’t blame her!)

More climbing took her mind off it, she wasn’t having a good day was she!!

Next weekend it is the girls birthday, so it should be a good birthday weekend!

If you don’t already follow me on Instagram I also post a daily picture, and at the end of the year I put them together into a Photobook.
