Our weekend in pictures, a little diary of what we get up to at the weekends together.

Just a bunch of normal family life pictures.

Another birthday weekend! It was our friends son’s 10th birthday today! The kids had another sleepover on the Friday night with them, so we headed over for present opening!

This was his face when we opened his present, I think we did OK!

We had planned on a trip to the coast but the traffic was rubbish so a quick change of plan and we headed to Basildon Park for a stomp around together.

My girls enjoyed blackberry picking too!

Heres cheeky Jack the birthday boy! He’s such a happy boy and has a very kind heart. I cannot wait to see what he grows up to be though, as he’s super clever! We stopped off for dinner at Harvester, and when the pudding came they surprised Jack with a candle and making the whole restaurant to sing to him!

Look at his face!!!

We had our friends over for the evening, cocktails and a good catch up. Excuse our warm looking faces, we had the glow of the patio heater to keep us warm!

We had a lovely walk this morning at Stockbridge Down.  We had some very special people join us on our walk though! When I started this blog I was puppy socialising with The Hearing Dogs for Deaf People charity and had Rusty the wonderful Cockapoo puppy from 8 weeks to 15months. He lived with us whilst I did all his first lot of training. We learnt so much together but it was time for him to go on and learn his next stage of training.

Well he did, and he was super! Sophie had waited 5 years to be matched with a dog and then Rusty came flying into her life and they have been perfect partners for 3 years now. We all love catching up with Rusty and Sophie as it makes all the hard work at the time worth it, and it just shows why I did it.

Back home to this guy who thought it was an all you can eat buffet at feeding time today and climbed in his food!

After Lily had collected all the blackberries yesterday, she wanted to make us pudding. A very yummy blackberry and apple crumble. She is getting a very good cook

I also post a daily picture, and at the end of the year I put them together into a Photobook.

  1. I love pictorial documentations of memories – you can always come back to them in years to come and live them all over again!

    • We have some lovely times at the weekend and I wanted to track them to be able to look back at them. Thank you

  2. Love your photos. Looks you had a great time. Also love how the Black Berry and Apple crumble looks, if you have any left….

  3. Ha, I think you did more than okay he looks over the moon. Wow it’s great that Lily knows how to make blackberry and apple crumble that’s a yummy dessert.

    • He was over the moon and got to play with it in the local swimming pool this week too

  4. Aww happy belated birthday to your friend’s son, Basildon Park is one of my favourite places to visit on weekends.

  5. What a lovely catch up through photos. That little birthday boy looks like he had a blast. And how wonderful to get the chance to see how Rusty was getting on. It must be such a rewarding scheme to be involved in.
