Thank you to Laura from Dear Bear and Beany for tagging me in the Christmas Tag, with only 5 days left till Christmas I am starting to feel quite festive and ready for Christmas.

What’s your favourite Christmas movie?

It has to be Holiday, I was really late to watch this one and I didn’t realise it was so good! It is a proper Christmassy film. My favourite to watch with the children is Miracle on 34th Street.

Have you ever had a white Christmas?

Nope! I am so tempted to disappear of somewhere snowy for next Christmas. I would love the kids to experience a proper snowy place too.

Where do you usually spend your holiday?

Since Tyler has been born we have spent Christmas at home. He doesn’t like the idea of going anywhere on Christmas day now! Kev’s Mum is on her own so she always comes and stays with us too.  My parents will be over ours on Christmas day too.

What’s your favourite Christmas song?

Anything with Micheal Buble singing it!!

Do you open any presents on Christmas eve?

Some years I have wrapped up some nice new PJ’s for the kids to open, then they can wear them on Christmas day morning too. New PJ’s, hot chocolate and a film on the sofa together is our Christmas Eve.

Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

OK I will admit I needed help from my twins on this one…….Rudolf, Vixen, Prancer, Dasher (then the girls stepped in!)……Dancer, Cupid

Then Googled and found out it was Donner and Blitzen……..we were rubbish!!!

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?

W have left our Christmas treat and visit to Father Christmas pretty close to Christmas this year. Were off to Longleat Festival Of Light and the Santa train. The kids are so excited!! Then a walk on Christmas Eve, home to snuggle up in our PJ’s, hot chocolate and a film.

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Our tree is a fake Christmas tree as I am allergic to the real Christmas trees! Knowing my twins, they probably would be allergic to it too!

What’s your favourite holiday food/treat/sweet?

Anything with Bailey’s, Brandy Sauce and Kev’s Mums homemade Christmas pudding!

Be honest. Do you prefer giving or receiving gifts?

I love giving. I love the build up to Christmas and thinking about what each person would love to receive. When I find things that I think would be perfect for them is great fun!

What’s the best Christmas present you’ve ever received?

Oh this is a really hard one, I’ve had so many lovely gifts. My husband got my a bracelet which had the kids fingerprints on which was really lovely.

What’s your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

It has to be Lapland doesn’t it, although I would happily visit Finland and visit Santa whilst we were there. As long as it was snowy I don’t really mind!

Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?

I fail miserably! Although Kev is a pro, and each year we have made an evening of our wrapping. with film, chocolates and a few drinks. Kev wraps, I sort, decorate and label.

HomeSense Gifts

What’s your most memorable Christmas memory?

Waking up every morning and climbing in my Mum and Dads bed to unwrap my pillowcase full of presents!

What made you realise the truth about Christmas?

What truth………?! Go careful with your writing on labels guys……

What makes the holidays special for you?

Just seeing everyone spending time together, I love to play games with the kids and it’s nice to have one day where everything stops. Myself, husband, outside and I love that the shops close and people just stop.

I have tagged some more bloggers if you want to take part too.

  1. I love reading these tags!!! That’s my favourite Christmas film too and I’d love to visit Lapland for Christmas. It would be so magical.

  2. It’s all so special, I’ve still never seen Miracle on 34th Street, so I have to change that. And I’m a pro-wrapper, kinda!

  3. Oo I’m the same – The Holiday is my favourite festive film too! So cosy to watch 🙂
