When we purchased our house, it was stuck in the 1960’s, we knew we had a job on to renovate it ourselves, but I also knew that we could put 100% our own stamp on it. We could start a fresh, get rid of all the old decor and put all of our own things in. Our styles have changes a lot over the years, and some things I cannot believe we even thought of, let alone do!

However that’s what I love about interiors, it’s your own style, the things you love and it doesn’t matter. You are free to experiment, to include just what you want and all the lovely things you have.

So when John Lewis got in touch and told me about their new home range, I was keen to show you all. The New Bohemian range is such a beautiful, colourful style. With a mix of global influences including African plain, Moroccan Souk and Turkish Bazaar. Β If you love colour, you are going to love this range.

I was immediately drawn in by the patterns, colours and the beautiful textiles that are included in this range.

The New Bohemian I decided that the range needed to be teamed with a plain navy sofa, as this then allowed the colours and patterns of the items to stand out. TheΒ Farrah Berber Rug and the Dakara Pouffe stand right out on the floor, giving you colour and texture to place your feet on.

When you’re putting together a style like this, you must have lanterns, pitchers and wicker items for sure! I love that you can even get a Raffia Weave Ceiling Light, to tie in with the style. I think anyΒ Bohemian range needs to have soft lights, with candles and twinkling lanterns and John Lewis have made sure of this.

I love the fun range of cushions and throws in this range, items like these really give character to the room and inject a bit of fun.

Don’t be afraid to push those colours and patterns, it works so well and I can imagine being very relaxed sat in this room. Like I said above, pick a style you love and go with it!
