Our weekend in pictures, a little diary of what we get up to at the weekends together.

Saturday 10th December 2016

Today we went up to visit Kevs Mum and his Auntie Dian. Every year we have a little mini Christmas for his Auntie, she prefers to stay at home for Christmas. As she doesn’t have much family and instead of her missing out, we bring Christmas to her for the day! With a Christmas dinner, present exchanging and chatting, it is lovely to see her, and the children love being able to give her the presents from us too.

Auntie Dian hasn’t done sparklers since she was a little girl. She didn’t make it to visit us around firework night, like arranged so we saved her sparklers to today!

Sunday 11th December 2016

We arranged to visit Longleat with our friends on Sunday, to visit Father Christmas and to see the festival of light. We went around the safari first, to see the animals up close……

Cheeky monkeys on the car was one of the best parts for the kids! They thought it was so funny seeing them jumping around!! We had a wiper blade ripped off (needed replacing!) and some seal pulled up, but that survived!

Had a explore around the park, and lost a mobile phone (Tylers!) grrr!!

Who else hates mazes? I hate them!! Why do the kids always have to do something you hate?!

Then it was time to visit Santa on the train.

It went into the woods, where we found Santa in his lodge and the elves busy helping him!

Then it was dark once we came out, so then we could visit the festival of lights. WOW!

If you don’t already follow me on Instagram I also post a daily picture, and at the end of the year I have a picture for every single day, this year it will be 366 pictures!

You Baby Me Mummy

  1. Looks a gorgeous weekend! Would love to go to Longleat again – went when little and loved it. It’s quite far from us but definitely one to make an effort for. x

  2. Ahh your photos have made me feel even more festive! There’s nothing like sitting down around a table with family, makes you feel so grateful and lucky! Longeat is amazing around Christmas, I wish there were quieter days as it gets crazy busy, but they sure do make an effort! Looks like you had a lovely busy weekend 🙂 x

  3. Awww i think that’s lovely that you take Christmas Day to Kev’s auntie every year, i bet that’s something she really looks forward to! We went to Longleat Safari in the Summer and had the best day out there – it’s the most amazing place isn’t it?

How lovely that you have done a special xmas day for your aunt. It can be so easy to forget relatives at this time of year and so it’s nice to see when a family make sure no one is forgotten. Longleat looks amazing too!
