As the summer approaches we’re all starting to think about getting out more, and the possible holiday we are going on this year. If you are looking for ideas on where to go this summer, and camping or caravanning is your thing, then take a look at what campsites along the South,I have found something suitable for everyone!
Near A Beach
If you’re looking for a site that is near a beach, then head to Chichester Campsite. My favorite beach is only 25 minutes drive, West Witterings. A sandy blue flag beach, with beach huts, miles of sandy beaches, and great facilities on hand. You won’t be disappointed.
Woodland
If you’re looking for a woodland site, then you cannot go wrong with The New Forest, and Ashurst campsite looks perfect. A stunning woodland area, with ponies, roaming and many many paths to follow. You will run out of time to explore it all! There are little villages, and towns to explore, so you can stop off for tasty ice cream in the sun.
A Swimming Pool
My kids love a swimming pool, they would spend hours and hours in one if they could. Having a campsite with a swimming pool on-site would be perfect for us. You could head off to the pool, and not even have to drive anywhere to get to it. Adgestone campsite has one! It is also on the Isle of Wight, so if you don’t live on the Isle Of Wight, then you have the fun of the boat trip over there too!
No Dogs Allowed
Even though I love my dog very much, not everyone does love dogs. If this is you and you would prefer a site without dogs, then take a look at Denny Wood. Although this site doesn’t have any toilets or showers, so right back to nature and simple camping.
Great For Kids
Going away with kids can bring its own challenges, and involves a lot of planning and making sure everything is safe. So consider taking out some insurance to cover you for any surprises! The Camping and Caravanning Club offers a range of insurance schemes perfect for any trip. Finding a campsite that welcomes kids and makes things easier is what you should look for. Holmsley sounds perfect, family shower cubicles, battery charging facilities, children play areas, and take away facilities for when you’ve had too much fun all day and not had time to cook!
I hope you liked my suggestions of campsites along the South, and you found what you’re looking for, and have fun on your holidays!

I’m going to have to share this with my hubby. We really want to take the girls camping again.
That would be so much fun to take 3 girls camping!
I think my son is the right age to take camping now, and actually think it would make a great trip for some solo time with his dad when the new baby arrives. Well once he’s over the excitement of the baby anyway. It’s a great way to bond and get closer and just spend some fabulous time together making memories.
Yes thats a great idea! It will be a bit warmer too!
We’ll be camping this Summer so this is great for us – they look fab so we’ll be spoilt for choice x
So many great campsites around, good luck with your camping!
I’m not a huge fan of camping, my husband loves it tho. But wow, those places looks amazing! I might give them a go if the opportunity comes.
My hubby camped every year with his family, but I never did with mine.
I’m always on the look out for new holiday spots. Thank you for the tips! Xx
Fab, glad to help!
Oh, this is great! We are yet to go camping as a family, but hope to do so soon now they are getting a bit older. x
Yes I think it is a bit easier once they are older!
We haven’t been camping with the kids yet, only been on a glamping trip. It would be fun to do some proper camping with them though!
I couldn’t do full on back to nature camping with the kids!
