With Spring fast approaching and our house extension plans coming along, I am getting ready to give my home a spruce up for spring! Having a good clear out, selling things we don’t need anymore and giving things away to charity. Once we have done this I can give the house a good clean ready for the spring.
At the bottom of this post, I have put together a free printable with a list of jobs you can tick off for your Spring clean. This is on top of the general cleaning that we usually do, but things don’t always get done regularly.
Getting Ready For A Spring Clean
I have also been sent a couple of products to get me started, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Addis sells some brilliant items for the home to keep it keep and tidy. I have been hoping my old airer would survive as long as possible but it was looking so sad for its self! Not bad considering I got it when I moved in with my husband (16 years ago!!) and it’s done 3 babies washing as well.
I believe it’s worth spending a bit extra on airers as they get pushed and pulled all over the place, folded up and bashed around. Also, there is nothing worse than filling them all up and placing outside, for a gust of wind to come along and blow all the clean washing onto the floor.
Addis Deluxe Superdry Airer
I spotted Addis did a Deluxe Superdry Airer priced at £34.99 which looks super sturdy and has plenty of room. Being a family of five I need an airer which has plenty of hanging space, this one has 11 metres of space. This has been adjusted to suit by pushing the airer inwards so it’s not taking as much space up if you don’t need it.
Opened right up it has lots of room in between rails and I have dried my sheets on there too with lots of air around them. This means the clothes are going to dry much faster too. I loved the fact it has wheels on, I have struggled to move my old one around due to back problems, but not anymore. This can be rolled anywhere and copes going over doorways easily without it all falling off! With a flat area on the bottom to place delicate items and a couple of integrated footwear holders.
Best of all it folds completely flat and pretty much stands upright on its own! There is a little clip to secure the airer together when storing. With a 10 year guarantee, I am sure this is going to last just as well as my old one! I am really pleased with this airer, so if you would like to purchase it, you can from Amazon or Robert Dyas
Addis Seal & Store Bags
After every Winter I have the struggle of packing away all five of our Winter duvets under the bed. We don’t have much room to store items so any extra space I can find I need to snap up!
Using the patented secure seal technology, Addis believes these are the best vacuum storage bags and I quite agree with them! Once filled with your items you can either seal the bags with your hands or by using a vacuum, I used a vacuum on mine as it’s a king sized duvet and I loved the idea of getting as much air out as possible!
Just look at how flat it went!
These come out in April 2019 and I can see them being very popular, they are so easy to use and as you can use them by using just your hands too, it makes them so quick to use.
I am looking forward to washing and packing away all the duvets after Winter and still having some space under my bed!
If you’re having trouble with your vacuum don’t think you have to buy a brand new one, take a look for spares for your vacuum to fix the issue much cheaper. Spares2You has a great range of parts for Vax Steam Cleaners and Dyson Vacuums to fix many issues.
