How excited was I when Soda Stream got in contact and asked if I wanted to review one of their Soda Stream machines! I remember these from when I was a child, I had a friend who lived in my road who had one and I loved it!

I wanted to try something different with mine though, I wanted to try and make my own flavours and to make them sugar-free too. I am a sucker for a fizzy drink myself, but I’ve cut the sugar-filled ones out and now only have them as a treat. So I didn’t want to then bring in a machine that makes sugary drinks to be tempted all the time!

The two drinks I am going to share with you are,

Sugar-Free Lemonade

A glass of lemon water with a bamboo straw and lemon slice sits on a wooden counter beside a SodaStream bottle, a SodaStream machine, a knife, and lemon wedges—perfect inspiration for sugar-free fizzy drinks or new SodaStream recipes.

Sugar-Free Raspberry Lemonade

A glass of red fruit drink with lemon slices and a straw sits on a wooden counter beside a SodaStream bottle, a black knife, raspberries, and a halved lemon—one of many sugar-free drinks and SodaStream ideas to enjoy at home.

Both of these are very simple to make and you can make up a bottle of it and place it in the fridge to help yourself too.

What’s In The Box

A black SodaStream machine sits on a wooden worktop in a modern kitchen, next to a CO2 canister, instruction booklets, and a reusable bottle—perfect for creating sugar-free drinks with your favourite soda stream recipes.

How To Make Sugar Free Soda Stream Syrup

For the Lemonade squeeze lemon juice of 3 lemons into the Soda Stream carbonated water.

A person slices a fresh yellow lemon with a knife on a wooden chopping board, perfect for adding zest to sugar-free drinks. Another halved lemon is nearby.

3 teaspoons of stevia into the bottle and mix, you can add this to taste after each spoonful.

A hand holds a spoon with white powder above a clear plastic bottle filled with liquid, suggesting creative SodaStream ideas. A green packet labelled PURE is partially visible in the foreground, hinting at sugar-free drinks.

That’s it!

A glass of sugar-free lemonade with a bamboo straw and a lemon slice on the rim sits on a wooden surface. Two lemon halves are nearby, making it perfect for sugar-free drinks or refreshing SodaStream ideas. The background shows a blurred hexagonal tile pattern.

If you want to make it Raspberry flavour then just add about 150g of Raspberries.

A hand uses a knife to cut a fresh raspberry on a wooden chopping board, perfect for adding to your SodaStream and creating delicious sugar-free drinks. Sliced lemons are in the background.

Make sure they are pureed and then sieved as well before adding to the water.

A person uses a black and red hand blender to blend red fruit in a measuring jug, with two yellow lemons and a wooden chopping board in the background—perfect for creating Sugar-Free Drinks or inspiring new SodaStream Ideas.

A glass of red fizzy sugar-free soft drink with a lemon slice and straw sits on a wooden counter next to a halved lemon, a knife, raspberries, a filled SodaStream bottle, and a sleek black SodaStream machine.

Using The Soda Stream

The Soda Stream was so much easier to use than I thought it would be! Simply add the gas bottle into the Soda Stream, although I was a little nervous of this bit to start off with. But it easily slots into the Soda Stream, twists and then locks into place.

A person’s hands are installing a SodaStream CO2 cylinder into a black soda maker on a wooden surface, with illustrated setup instructions in the background for making sugar-free drinks at home.

Pop the back on and it’s ready to go. Fill up the bottle with your tap water up until the fill line, and place the bottle into the Soda Stream.

There’s a button on the top which you press to release the gas into the water. Follow the instructions on how much gas you want in the water, then you’re ready to add your flavours.

Reusable Benefits

What I really love about the Soda Stream is that it will help cut down on the number of plastic bottles we will use as a family. I can purchase additional Soda Stream bottles and have them made up in the fridge for the kids to use over and over again.

You can also have the gas bottles re-gassed so your not throwing away the gas bottles when they’re empty. You can either send them away to be refilled or visit the Soda Stream website to find your local store and have them re-gassed in store.

Soda Stream Syrup

If you don’t fancy making your own syrups for the Soda Stream, then you can purchase some from Soda Stream. I’m liking the look of the organic blonde cola, it has 50% less sugar and will last up to 6 months once opened.

Price Of Soda Stream

A starter pack like this is normally £99.99 which will get you started, they also come in 6 different colours as well!

well k dont really drink any type of soda but then I saw this, maybe i should give it a try

  2. I’ve never owned a soda stream before. When we lived in Germany, we would buy sparkling mineral water by the crate, like most people there. You’d pay a deposit which you’d get back when you returned the crate and the bottles. I like your recipe for raspberry lemonade though.

  3. This is amazing! I literally just did a post on my blog about skincare and how consuming less sugar is good for you… I’d definitely look into Soda Stream!
