All you are hearing about at the moment is Christmas shopping and Black Friday. So if you have some Christmas shopping to do, then the best time is to do it now! There are so many deals around, it is a perfect time to bag a bargain, and get that extra special gift at a cheaper price.

Black Friday is on 24th Friday 2017, but many companies are already popping out deals, and it is quickly becoming Black Friday week! So I thought I would pop together my tips on how you could save EVEN more money when shopping online and grab some great deals.

An infographic on a smartphone screen shares AO.com insights on Black Friday 2016 stats and tips to save even more money when shopping online, plus advice for staying cyber aware—like using anti-virus, avoiding public Wi-Fi, and choosing trusted sites.

Ordering Past Midnight

If you’re looking at getting a deal on a very popular product, then you might want to stay up until the sales kick in at midnight. If you are like me and the thought of sitting downstairs till midnight fills you with dread, then do it on your mobile from bed! Many sites are mobile-friendly now, and you can easily order tucked up in bed on your mobile with a hot drink!!

If you don’t want the hassle of having to get up to print out receipts or remembering to do it the next day, which is never good with me, as it would easily be forgotten! Then grab yourself a WiFi printer. I have the Canon Pixma TS8050 WiFi printer, which I can print out documents from my phone, and it sends it directly to the printer, ready for me to pick up when I go downstairs.

A black Canon printer sits on a wooden shelf next to a lit hashtag-shaped marquee light, offering money saving tips for those shopping online, with a wall and metal shelf bracket in the background. A close-up of a printer’s touchscreen displaying Copy, Scan, and Print options. The dimly lit surroundings, with a blurred illuminated cross in the background, evoke the need for smart money-saving tips when shopping online for office essentials.

I love all the features this Canon printer has, it is brilliant for homework, printing photos, documents and even as a built-in scanner to scan or photocopy. It does everything and is still very compact to sit neatly on our shelf.

Receipt Scanning

I recently got into scanning my receipts after shopping, which means I can collect points for each of my shopping trips. You’re not going to earn loads, but every little helps, hey!

A mobile app screen shows a fruit machine game called Hog Slots with prize options and coin balance, next to the Shoppix logo featuring a stylised shopping bag—highlighting fun ways to save money whilst shopping online.

Sign up to Receipt Hog and *Shoppix. People seem to be collecting points quicker with Shoppix, but sign up to both and you can do them quickly at the same time.  Receipt Hog allows you to collect coins from shops that sell groceries, health items, & beauty products, stores like Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Boots, and many more! If the shop doesn’t come under their coin stores, then you can earn spins on their slots, for shops like Zara, Homebase, IKEA, Currys, etc. You also must upload them within 14 days of shopping there.

*Use the referral code 7C6CBOUU on Shoppix, and we both get 200 tokens when you sign up.

Cashback Sites

I am sure many of you reading this are already signed up to sites like *Quidco and *Topcashback.  If not, you need to be! This gives you money back in the form of a percentage or value of the sale for each shop you do. Sometimes you even get to use a code that they are offering as well. I have earned over £1200 over the years I have had my Quidco account. I have been using it right from the start when it launched! Check out Mrs Money Pot for the virtues of cashback sites

*Sign up to Quidco using the link above and we both get £5 each for registering  *Sign up to Topcashback using the link above and I get a referral payment and you get a £5 Amazon e-gift card (if you sign up before 11am 4th December 2017)

Amazon Free Prime Trial

Amazon are offering you the chance to try out a 30-day free trial of *Amazon Prime. This gives you access to unlimited one-day delivery, videos, streaming music, unlimited access to books, exclusive Twitch deals, unlimited photo storage, and early access to lightning deals. If you love what you get, then you can sign up for it for £79 per year.  It means you could get all your Christmas shopping delivered for free, early access to lightning deals, and a chance to get them before they sell out!

Credit Card Cashback Deals

This suggestion is only if you are able to, can, or want to take up. Martin Lewis from MoneySavingExpert has a list of credit cards that you can sign up to, which give you cashback on all purchases, and also ones which offer vouchers for taking them out. This is perfect if you are able to get one and use it to purchase all your shopping each month, and then you must pay it off in full every month, so you don’t risk any fees or interest on it. Take a look at his article on his website about it to see if this is right for you to take up.

Have fun shopping!!

I think I’ve missed out on the black Friday sales, although with Amazon, I noticed, not all the products are online. I’ve sat up till midnight before, my husband thought I was crazy! 😉
