It’s often said that you end up buying numerous kitchen gadgets over the years, and they usually end up hidden in the cupboards, only to be used a handful of times. Well, I am going to share with you 5 kitchen gadgets worth buying and ones I love having in my kitchen, and they don’t all get hidden either!

Bean To Cup Coffee Machine

My husband and I clubbed our Christmas money together after the extension had been built and purchased a bean to cup coffee machine , and it’s my favourite thing in this kitchen! We now have one proper cup of coffee a day, and it’s just as good as the ones from the coffee shop. That was amazing during lockdown when people all missed their coffee shop coffees, we didn’t!

We always ensure that we buy decent coffee beans for the coffee machine, but spread over the month, it works out really well, at around 25p per cup. Much cheaper than the coffee shops!

Toasty Machine

I know this is one of those items that often end up in the cupboard, but we really enjoy using ours, and you can’t beat a cheese toastie, can you? They aren’t expensive, but experimenting with different fillings can yield some delicious ones. I am looking forward to making a festive one this December, with turkey, cranberry, and stuffing in mine. People don’t like that they are hard to clean, but get a toasty machine that you can remove the grill plates from, and you can clean them easily.

One Cup Kettle

It’s really worth buying a one cup kettle if you live alone or often only make one cup of tea and coffee at a time. You can fill up the reservoir and only boil up enough water to fill one cup. This saves water by preventing overfilling of the kettle, electricity from heating water that isn’t needed, and they fit neatly on the side, so they don’t take up too much space. It’s also quicker than a standard kettle.

Combination Microwave and Oven

I hadn’t had a combination microwave and oven until a few years ago, and it’s come in handy. It takes up no more room than a standard microwave, but I can heat it up like a mini oven. This is brilliant for cooking small items like garlic bread, Cornish pasties, ready meals that require an oven, and multiple different foods. It comes with a handy little oven tray, and you can set the heat to the desired temperature for the oven, and then it cooks. It saves you from heating up a whole oven for just a small item. I also find sometimes it doesn’t even need the entire time, as it’s a smaller area to heat and keeps it more contained.

Stand Mixer

If you love making cakes, bread and do a lot of mixing with cooking, then having a stand mixer is a convenient item to have. You can pick them up in some adorable patterns, so no need to worry about them looking ugly in your pretty kitchen, either. They often come with different attachments to perform various tasks, making them multi-use.

I hope you like my suggestions, and it shows you not all kitchen gadgets are one use and then hidden away! There ARE some kitchen gadgets worth buying
