Keeping on top of the garden during the summer is a weekly task, so having the correct tools for the job is a must! Flymo have been a well know British lawnmower brand since 1964 when they introduced its infamous hover mower. They’ve since grown and grown and have released some great gardening products. Flymo has a great range of mowers to keep on top of cutting the grass and have one suitable for every type of garden. So they wanted me to try out the Flymo Easi Glide 300 to see how it coped with my garden.

A Flymo Easi Glide 300 lawnmower box sits on a wicker table in a patio garden, surrounded by greenery, flowers, and light-coloured fencing—a perfect setting for any Flymo lawnmower review, even on a cloudy day.

Flymo Easi Glide 300 Lawnmower Review

When it arrived I was so pleased to see that it didn’t require any assembling! It was just ready to pull straight out the box and start using.

A bright orange Flymo Easi Glide 300 lawnmower, still partially packed inside an open cardboard box with its power lead visible, rests on a tiled outdoor surface near a white wall and some greenery.

A Flymo Easi Glide 300 hover lawnmower with an orange and black design sits on a patio. Its box, featuring product branding, is displayed behind it near patio furniture—perfect for your next Flymo Easi Glide 300 lawnmower review.

Inside the box is a spanner to be able to add or takeaway spacers to adjust the cutting height to give you 4 different cutting heights from 10mm to 30mm. It was easy to do this, but not as convenient as having a lever to adjust the height.

Corded

Unlike the Flymo Mighty Mo, I have reviewed previously the Flymo Easi Glide 300 is a corded lawnmower. It comes with a 12-metre power cable which wasn’t just quite long enough to do our full garden without getting an extension cable out!

A bright orange Flymo Easi Glide 300 hover mower sits on green grass in front of a light grey garden shed with double doors, next to a leafy bush and under a cloudy sky, perfect for any lawnmower review setting.

Having the power cable means your getting a 1300W lawnmower to give you that continuous power to get the job finished quickly.

Safety

Having the cable means you do need to be aware of the cable when cutting the grass, Flymo have also kept the two-step function that you need to do before being able to start the mower.

How Well Does The Flymo Easi Glide 300 Cut

The Flymo Easi Glide 300 is a hover mower uses air to creates a cushion of air that allows the lawnmower to guide over the lawn making it lightweight and easy to cut. You can cut the grass is a sweeping motion, rather than being restricted by wheels on the mower.

This is BEFORE

A back garden features a patio with a black outdoor dining set, a grassy area maintained with a Flymo lawnmower, a playset with a blue slide, a white shed, and various plants and flowers along the edges.

This is AFTER

A neatly kept back garden with a green lawn, thanks to a Flymo lawnmower, a grey garden shed, blue children's slide, outdoor dining furniture, flower beds, and tall grey fences surrounding the area.

Weight

The Flymo Easi Glide 300 weighs 8.8kg which is lightweight enough, and with a carry handle it’s easy to carry around your garden. It isn’t a mower that you can move around on the ground when it’s not on though as there aren’t any wheels. But once it’s on it makes it easy to push around with the cushion of air.

Edge Cutting

It has a cutting width of 30cm and you do still need to go around with an edge cutter or strimmer to tidy up the edges.

Grass Box

The grass box is a 20-litre box that compacts the grass down into it as your cutting. The box is so simple to lift in and out of the mower as well, no clips or buttons to release it.

Compact

Then when you’ve finished you simply pull the sidebars apart and the handle folds down and you can then carry using the carry handle to make it easy to store away.

Price

The Flymo Easi Glide is well priced around £95 I think it’s a good lawnmower for this price and is great if you have a small to medium sized lawn.

Great review, sounds like a good mower! Always needed this time of year!

  2. This seems to be a great lawnmower and your garden looks lovely! I hate cutting the grass but always love how neat the garden looks after!

  3. Mowing the lawn is a job I quite enjoy and is even better since we got our new mower – technology is a brilliant thing isn’t it

  4. I loved my Flymo. I only got rid when I moved in with my fiancé and he had a petrol mower.

It’s so easy to use and because of the ‘hoover’ element it really keeps the garden clean, oh man I miss it. I had a huge garden and it was so satisfying to cut the grass!

    Enjoy x

We used to have a Flymo. We don’t need one now as we replaced our grass with slate chips … area too small for grass.
