For this years Valentine’s I wanted to make hubby something that was special for us. I had been searching on Pinterest for ideas and came across the idea of a ‘I love you because….. frame’.
I saved lots off for inspiration, I was going to be making mine for a Valentine’s present but it would be good for an anniversary present.
The idea is that sometimes we are so busy that we sometimes forget to say ‘I Love You’ or ‘Thank You’ for the extra little things we do and the reasons why we love each other. This frame gives us the chance to write it down and it is a nice little surprise when the other person finds the written message. Then we take time out to acknowledge the little message that has been left.
Here is my finished product
The two places I gathered my ideas from were,
On The Go Bride – I loved the words on this one
Super Savings Blog – I loved the black frame of this one
Items your will need
- Choice of frame
- Choice of paper, I chose a sheet of cream linen scrapbook paper
- Printer
- Whiteboard pen
As you can see there isn’t much to it!
I picked up my frame from the supermarket but you can pick up a frame from anywhere, you could do one up, paint one or use an unused one.
Choose a piece a paper in any pattern you like, try to choose one that goes with your decor and frame style.
I used Microsoft word to design my writing style and position. You need to practice printing this out on a piece of plain paper that you are not going to use until you find the right positioning.
Cut your paper to size and frame it up and you are finished!
Ready to write on with your whiteboard marker
When hubby received his frame he was very touched, it was handmade by me and it was a nice little reminder on why he loves me!
