There is one housework task that I HATE doing, and it’s putting on the duvet sheets and then having all the washing of the sheets to do. Everything is so big to wash and dry again, and it takes up so much time and space. Then when it comes to putting all the sheets back on again, and fighting with those, yeah it’s a rubbish household chore.

So when The Fine Bedding Company got in touch with me and asked if I wanted to try something out on their website, and I spotted the Night Owl Herringbone Coverless Duvet I knew I had to give it a go! I have long term back issues, and changing the bedsheets are super painful, but I don’t think they will be with this amazing product.

How The Night Owl Herringbone Coverless Duvet Works
You don’t have any covers to replace each time, just pop the whole duvet inside the washing machine and wash it all together. I know that sounds like it might be more hard work than normal, but with their lightweight Night Owl coverless duvet it’s super easy to wash and dry, and be back on the bed again.
The filling is 100% Smartfil® Polyester from Recycled PET Bottles and a super soft herringbone polyester cover. Which allows the full duvet to wash and dry easily.
Washing The Night Owl Coverless Duvet
They have designed the duvets to fit inside a 7Kg+ capacity washing machine drum, and as they’ve used innovative compressible fibres they allow the duvet to squash into the drum when washing, but allow it to return to its original plump and fluffy state after washing.
You can then either dry on a low temp in the tumble dryer, or dry back on the bed in as little as 90minutes or 120 minutes for the other cotton waffle fabric duvets. Or give them an air dry outside on the line, but pop it onto wash in the morning and you be sleeping back under it by bedtime.

This is reassuring as it’s so soft and cosy, once I’ve slept under this I don’t want to sleep under anything else.
Colour and Fabric Options
The Night Owl Herringbone has a small herringbone pattern throughout the duvet, you can also purchase a cotton waffle style if you prefer this fabric pattern.

It also comes in 3 different colours, I have picked the French Plum colour, but there is also Storm Grey or Fjord Blue. There is also matching pillowcases to coordinate with the coverless duvet as well.

Sizes and Togs
You can purchase the Night Owl Herringbone Coverless Duvet in both 4.5 tog and 10.5 tog, and single, double or king.
Mine was a 10.5 tog and king-sized, and it’s so super cosy. My kids have their eyes on one of these, they love the idea of not trying to get sheets on, but also not ending up with some of their duvets down the bottom of the inside of the duvet cover during the night!
Clean and Versatile
These would be amazing for camping, sleepovers, but also for kids who wet the bed often. You can get them washed and dried ready for the next night so easily.
My girls have allergies, and I have to remember to wash their duvets as I notice it makes them cough if I haven’t for a little while. I wouldn’t need to remember anymore, these would just get regularly washed, and kept clean for them. Even though they state they are hypoallergenic, I just love how clean these coverless duvets will stay. Now that’s going to make life easier.
I am so pleased with the Night Owl Herringbone Coverless Duvet it makes my housework easier, my nights cosy and looks nice too

I’ve switched to a coverless duvet as well – absolute game changer!
So nice not having to change the sheets anymore isn’t it! Just chuck it on and off!!
I’ve never used a coverless duvet before. It sounds like a great product especially as you can clean it easily at home.
It really makes it easier, no more fighting with the covers!
