‘Storytime Sounds’ app helps makes wonderful stories

I was contacted by Mumsnet to download and review the Not on the highstreet.com – Storytime Sounds to see what we thought of it.

‘Storytime sounds’ is a fab app that is designed for families of children aged 3-7yrs to create extra element of fun to storytime.

It is available to download on iPhone/iPad and the best bit it is free to download!

You can bring your story to life with sounds whether it is a story from a book or your own made up story.

When we first downloaded the app we used the pre written story to show the children the idea of the app and what you can do with it, they really enjoyed the story and couldn’t wait to get their hands on it to have a go themselves!

The app was launched in the summer but they have recently just added a new Halloween section to it to create your spooky stories!

Although this app is designed for 3-7 yrs my 10yr old son sat down with my twin 5yr old girls and they created a fantastic story together. They all loved this app and kept them happy for ages.

Once they had written out the story my son typed it up to perform it to you, I think the story is fantastic and they had no help at all. The sounds and pictures gave them ideas for their story and they pulled them all together to create this wonderful story for you.

There are 6 sections which have 9 sounds in each one, this gives children a really good range of sounds and ideas to choose from.

The only thing I would change is there is a sound every time you change sections, so as your hear from my son video there was a sound at the wrong time for him.
