My twin girls love being able to try new things, they like to be outside and doing things. So we thought we would give roller blading a go!
My twins were sent a pair of SFR Camden inline skates to try out, you should have seen their faces when they came home from school and open the huge boxes!
My first impressions when opening the box was, wow they are big! The inline skates are adjustable in size, meaning there is more flexibility in sizing and last your child longer. I ordered the size J12-2 , but they also come in J8-11 and J3-6.
We took a trip out to a nearby park which has a lovely smooth path to try them out on. Although I had to purchase some new knee pads and wrist supports first!
What I really loved, was how cute they were, they are like little pink trainers on blades!
The ankle cushioning was really important to my twins, they have very flexible joints so need good support in their ankles. The Camden inline skates have great cushioning around the ankles, adjustable buckles, extra loops and hoops to tighten up the laces. All given the most support as possible.
You can see how thick the cushioning around the ankles is, apart from needing the support it also makes them comfortable to wear them.
It has a large stopper on the back of the boot for the brake, the girls found this quite easy to control.
They spent most this time shuffling along, holding our hands, but with a massive smile on their faces!
7We found a nice gate to rest on!
By the end of it, they were happy to stand on their own without a hand holding!

Thanks for the article. One word of advice though, the girls have the wristguards on the wrong way around. The angled plastic bit is supposed to be on the palm side, to allow for it (instead of the bare hand) to skid on the ground when you fall.
These are great! I remember having similar myself as a child and loved them. Although there wasn’t anywhere great to use them as everywhere was covered in stones that I kept bumping over! These skates look so good! I love the colour too. They’re so much better than ones I had when I was younger. I used to spend hours everyday rollerskating. I loved it so much. It’s so much fun! Oh wow! I feel like skates will be a huge step when my oldest is ready for them. And I can fully appreciate having such a large, solid stopper brake. That sold me on these. I can’t wait for my boys to have skates!
