I’ve chatted previously in my blog about how I feel it is important to spend more time outside, and how I want to improve the garden. Eating outside is one of the things I want to do more of, we already have a lovely table and chairs right outside the kitchen door, so I have no excuse!

I was asked by HomeSense to look into how I would Al Fresco dine in my garden, luckily we’ve had some lovely weather so we have had the opportunity to eat outside.

With children I think it is so important to have plates that are suitable for outside, mine and I am sure quite a few of other kids are a little clumsy at times! HomeSense had a beautiful range of plates and glasses to choose from. From brightly coloured sets to calm colour tones, including glasses and even cake stands for outside. I was spoilt for choice.

I decided to go for a blue and white colour set, with blue glasses to co-ordinate. They had a range of wine glasses and tumblers.

The tumblers are really chunky and a nice weight to them, with a pretty ombre colour to them. These are great for the kids, and they happily enjoyed their apple juice in them. I loved the wine glasses, they had a vibrant blue stem to them. These were more lightweight but perfect for a wine glass.

I added some flowers to the table to give something pretty and soft, these also can be used in my lounge when they are not outside. If you haven’t been to HomeSense before, make sure you take a look at their stunning faux flower display. They are beautiful and so realistic.

For the evenings I wanted some little candles, I picked up these cute little set of tea light lanterns. They have a slightly blue glass, but there was other colours to choose from too. They also have a little hook on the top, so you could hang these around if you wanted too.

We had a lovely dinner together, and I can see many more of these happening!

As you can see below, the prices are such good value. Everything was around these prices, so go and grab some before they run out!

  • Tumblers £2.99 each
  • Wine Glasses £1.99 each
  • Plates £3.99 each
  • Tea lights £5.99 for 3
  • Flowers £2.99 per steam, I have 5 in this vase

*I was given a voucher to spend in HomeSense to put this look together, however all words are honest and of my own.
