Back in the Easter holidays we went bunny hunting at RHS Wisley gardens. A year ago I would have never suggested anyone went to a RHS garden, however after our visit to RHS Rosemoor and a couple of visits to Wisley I have changed my mind completely! I would suggest you do too, it is so peaceful and a lovely place to get away for a few hours.
Not only is it pretty to look at, it is educational for the kids (and adults!) the children can explore a large open space. With little paths to take, areas to explore and if you visit in the school holidays they usually have an activity on for the kids.
We visited back in the Easter holidays when Wisley had their Lindt bunny hunt on. We had a few groans from our eldest but once he is there he loves the freedom of running around.
As he is older (11) than his sisters, he is starting to want to take in things more, learn more about things and so he would stop and read the signs, take in the information and take an interest in what Wisley was trying to teach them.
The Lindt bunnies were dotted around the gardens, which made you explore all over. We had a handy map which gave you an idea on what areas they were in, with clues to guide you in the right direction. Much better than just leaving you to find them anywhere!
The glasshouse is always a highlight for the kids, with the humidity so high you can find beautiful plants, fruits and waterfalls. The kids love it in here, and I love the amazing flowers that are grown in here.
We had a great treat when we visited, they had a birds of prey show for everyone. We got up close to some beautiful birds, my favourite had to be the Bald Eagle, aren’t they impressive.
Have a look at Wisley website for a list of events, they offer lots of activities and events throughout the year.
Of course as it is a RHS garden they have some stunning flowers, I am looking at sorting out our garden soon, so I really enjoy spotting flowers that I would love to have in my garden.
We had a lovely day out with my family, we had an annual membership which is really worth it as a family if you are going to visit a few times or more than one RHS garden. There is also partner gardens that allow access into their gardens (with restrictions)

What a lovely fun day! It looks beautiful there.
It looks beautiful and must be more worthwhile once kids can read the signs and learn a little more about the gardens and plants. The birds are fantastic too! Thanks so much for linking up to #Whatevertheweather xx
Gorgeous gardens. My boy is fascinated with owls and eagles which I am surprised about because he is generally afraid of things he doesn’t know.
I bet that was such a cute day searching for the bunnies and what beautiful surroundings to do it in x

We love visiting RHS Wisley and our favourite spot is the butterfly enclosure. Looks like you guys had a great time spotting the bunnies! Popping over from #CountryKids
It’s great that you got to spend the day hunting for the Llindt bunnies at RHS Wisley. The older ones always like to complain that it’s going to be boring and end up enjoying just as much as the rest of them don’t they? The grins on the kids faces prove that they really do enjoy exploring the gardens and seeing the different flowers. Thanks for linking up with me on #CountryKids
