We have been busy getting our lounge finished over the past month, adding new bits to the room and trying to make it nice and cosy.
Lighting is very important in a room, although I am not a bright light kind of girl! I love the warm light that lamps give you, I don’t often have my ceiling lights on.
As a Valuelights ambassador I have been given the chance to add some lovely lighting to my rooms, I wrote recently how we added in the eye ball floor lamp to give a great reading light to this end of the sofa.
The other end of my corner sofa had a large brass floor lamp, this was my Grandmas and I really like it. Although it isn’t very modern and doesn’t quite work down this end of my room.
So I picked out a new modern chrome gloss floor lamp, I choose it in duck egg blue to give the room some more blue from the sofa cushions. I love the tripod style floor lamps, they are very current and look great too.
It is very well priced at £29.99, and I was interested to see how it arrived as it was ordered online! When it arrived it was in a very small box, the lamp shade was flat packed and the tripod legs were in 3 pieces.
The shade rings have velcro on them, the inside of the shade has the other side of the velcro on, so you just place the rings on the shade and roll up the shade, matching the edges together as you go. My girls gave me a little hand!
Please note, you can see the right hand side ring has the bars on, I placed them around the wrong way. So when I placed it on the legs you could see the bars! So make sure you place the bars facing in on the inside.
The legs are very easy to screw into each other, the last set of legs have a little rubber foot on the bottom. This was very quick and easy to do, and the lamp was ready to put into place.
As you might be able to see the black cable has to dangle down, the lamp comes with little clips so you can clip the cable against the legs to keep it tidy looking.
I am really pleased with this lamp, the price is so good for a floor lamp, it is good quality but be aware there isn’t much weight to it and it is only balancing on 3 little legs. This is ok for me as it is tucked in the corner where it isn’t going to get knocked.
*I was sent this floor lamp for the purpose of this review, however all opinions and words are honest and of my own.
