What absolutely wonderful news to hear about the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s beautiful baby girl! She made her debut at 8:34 am on the 2nd of May, 2015, weighing a healthy 8 lbs 3 oz. A huge congratulations to the royal family on their new princess!
Knowing that my own family is now complete and my days of designing nurseries are behind me, I was looking for a good excuse to indulge my inner interior designer. What better way to celebrate this happy occasion than by having a virtual play session on Polyvore (or a similar design tool) to create the perfect little girl’s nursery?
My design is certainly a nod to the traditional and timeless aesthetic often associated with baby girls. I simply adore the classic, soft pink palette! My vision for this dream nursery is filled with sweet, charming motifs: think delicate butterflies fluttering across the walls, beautiful blooming flowers on textiles, and little hearts scattered throughout. It’s an overtly feminine and cosy haven, a true celebration of all things cute and lovely.
I wish the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge nothing but the greatest joy, happiness, and love as they embark on this exciting new chapter with their precious new arrival.
