I would love to see your Family Home Renovation!

After the busy last year, we’ve had planning the house renovations and building work I’m really keen to see other peoples!

Over on my social media channels I was sharing daily updates on what had happened that day with the builders here, and I loved doing Instagram stories. The builders we’re great sports too and happily had their photos taken and videos of what was going on!

Four adults, three men and one woman, smiling outdoors on a cloudy day. The men wear work jackets—two with beanies, one in a yellow high-visibility coat. A house extension and wet street provide a big update to the neighbourhood scene.

But now I don’t have the building work going on and I really miss being able to update you with all the things happening! We still had quite a bit left to do ourselves once the builders left, and we’ve only just had the kitchen doors installed! So I will still be sharing our journey and DIY bits we do. We’re not scared to do it ourselves!

So I thought why I don’t I start a new Hashtag on Instagram for you all to share your Family Home Renovation with me!

#FamilyHomeRenovation

It’s really easy to take part in, just add the hashtag #Familyhomerenovation to your grid posts and I will share with my followers too. I get to follow you along your renovation journey, and you hopefully gain more followers!

A competition promotion graphic features a modern kitchen, a laser level tool, and text inviting users to share their Family Home Renovation projects with #FamilyHomeRenovation for a chance to win a DIY laser level worth £36.

Competition!

To launch the new hashtag I thought I would offer you a prize myself for joining in and supporting me. Follow the rules in the Instagram post and you’re in with a chance of winning our favourite new DIY too!

A Laser Level worth £36!

A green laser level projects horizontal and vertical lines onto a white marble surface and wall, with the compact device on the worktop—the perfect tool for precise alignment during family home renovation projects.

What Can I Use A Laser Level For?

  • Hanging pictures
  • Laying flooring
  • Tiling
  • Hanging shelves
  • Hanging cupboards
  • Installing panelling
  • ANYTHING you want straight!!

A man stands on a wooden floor in an unfinished room, adjusting a tripod with a laser level projecting green lines onto the white walls and floor during a family home renovation.

I’ve got mine on a tripod I use for blogging but it’s self-levelling and can be placed on the floor or anything! We put it on a lampshade once when putting up photos!

  1. Wow very cool giveaway and that Lazer leveller looks really cool and super useful! We have done loads to our house over the past few years

    Laura x

  2. I love that you have created a community around this. Looking forward to seeing what others have shared!

  3. It can be such a help to have the right gadgets. This laser would be ideal for photos and shelving x

  4. Ah we could have done with one of those when we were doing out home renovations. I have to say though – I’m really glad it’s all done now though!

    • Haha! I know what you mean, it’s so nice to use the room now and live in it

  5. We spent every last penny on buying our place 18 months ago, so renovations will unfortunately have to wait. We’re planning to give the kitchen a mini makeover though, with a like of paint.

    • Yes I know what you mean about the pennies, we lived here 7 years before doing this and it’s why we bought the house in the first place! I did think we were never going to be able to do it at one point

  6. I really enjoyed seeing your home transform. We redone our bathroom (well it is still as work in progress – I need to give my husband a kick to try and finish it as he still hasn’t put the new radiator in, or finished the walls!

    • It’s so easy to lose interest in getting the final bits and bobs done, I’m like that with our hallway at the moment!

  7. My husband is desperate to extend our living room and do other bits and pieces to our home. He’s currently in the stage of drawing out his ideas and collaboring between us as to what we want to achieve.

    • Oh that is exciting, good luck with your extension if you do decide to go ahead!
