When someone offers my children the chance to try something out with chocolate they are not going to say no are they!!
I was sent a Make-a-Bar chocolate factory set for my twins to try, as it was Father’s Day coming up we thought it would be nice to make a design that would make a lovely gift for a daddy.
This was a really fun activity to do and my twins loved it, and best of all there was chocolate at the end of it!!
Inside the box is a tray, possible templates to use and 3 packets of chocolate. We have been given Father’s Day templates but it comes with animals, shapes or you can be creative and make your own design.
You need warm water, a bowl and scissors.
Tape the template onto the back of the tray for them to trace over
The with the dark chocolate they trace over the black outline of the letters. This is quite tricky and does take some concentration, my twins have just turned 6 and they needed a little help at squeezing and following the lines at the same time.
Use the white chocolate to fill in the lines
Then the milk chocolate to put all over the top of the writing.
My twins thought that all their writing was going to disappear, until I said to them carefully look underneath….
They only need to cool in the fridge for 20-30 mins, so they were ready to give to Daddy after dinner as an early Father’s Day present!!
We really liked this Make-a-Bar set, I think it is a great idea to get kids to make their own gifts to give to people. However I think it also would make a great gift to give to a child. Priced at £3.99 I think it makes a great idea for school party friends gifts, I think all children would love this.
You can purchase this set from Make-a-Bar from 1st June 2015
* We were sent Make-a-Bar for the purpose of this review, however all words are honest and of my own.
