Our weekend in pictures, a little diary of what we get up to at the weekends together.
Just a bunch of normal family life pictures.
Saturday 10th March
What a difference a week makes! It was mild, no snow and rainy!!
We had a builder pop over this morning, we’re considering an extension to the house so trying to get an idea on costs etc. The kids got on with their own things, however all of them were in a pretty bad mood today!
After the builder went me and hubby needed a drink after all that information!!! Some catching up on blogs too
As much as I could have easily stayed in I knew everyone needed to get out. Fresh air and energy burnt off might help everyones mood. So I found a new place to walk, Ovington and a lovely little walk along the river edge.
Me and Sofia had a little cuddle on the sofa watching Saturday night TV.
Sunday 3rd March – Mothers Day
I was given a lay in whilst Kev did the swimming run. It was very nice to have breakfast in bed and a shower that wasn’t rushed! Then I popped my music on and did my hair and make up ready for when they came home.
The girls had made me cards, and purchased me little gifts from the school Mothers Day event. Tyler got his card from the post office on the way home from school (along with chocolate!) and Kev had got me a lovely rose for the garden. So I was very spoilt.
We took a little trip out to Mottisfont National Trust. I think it was filled with lots of Mummies and Nannies doing the same!
I went for the cream tea of course!!!
Trying to get Tyler to look at the camera is hard going, he looks everywhere but directly at the camera!! Kev captured this one when he was walking along with me chatting away about computer games!!
Then I captured this one first time, I really love it of them all. Look spring is arriving too!!
Time to go home before the rain came down, and get ready for my parents to come over.
Kev was cooking us roast beef dinner for us, it was SO good I forgot to get a photo as I couldn’t wait to eat it!!
Why worry about plates when you can just finish it off out of the packaging!!!

It looks like you had a brilliant Mother’s Day. That scone looks absolutely gorgeous (especially as I am trying to diet) I loved your shots too. The first shot this week on the bench needs framing for sure. Thank you for linking up to #pointshoot
Thank you, I love that one too. Me and my little brood!
What a great week. You did so much. Lovely photos. The walk looks lovely. A family walk where you can take your dog is my perfect weekend. I have not spotted any Spring flowers yet but I keep looking 🙂
They are just starting to pop out but the cold weather is coming back so I hope they don’t suffer and struggle
We fell in love with Mottisfont last year and are hoping to go back over easter to do their egg hunts
Oh yes the Easter Egg hunts are fantastic, their Christmas trails are lovely too
Sounds like you had a lovely Mother’s Day. Your walk along the river looks great and the picture you captured of the three of your children is just stunning!
Thanks, it was the first one taken as well!! That never happens they are usually looking the wrong way!!
It sounds like you had a lovely mothers day, we too had roast beef and it was so much nicer as I didn’t have to cook it for once. xx
Oh very nice being able to sit back and not cook, food always tastes nicer when you haven’t had to cook it!
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend and Mother’s Day. Love how your photos capture every detail.

Sounds like a lovely weekend. We love Mottisfont and are hoping to visit this weekend if the weather is kind. x
Oh I hope you can visit, things are just starting to come alive there
I hope you’ll be able to do the extension of your dreams! I loved your photos, especially the first one! You are a beautiful family x
Thank you, fingers crossed hey but so many hurdles to jump first! Ah that’s lovely, thank you very much
Ooooo how exciting, what are you planning for the house? The new walk looks gorgeous, and Mottisfont used to be one of our favourite places after you introduced us to it 🙂
Oh don’t get too excited (money dependent!) but would love a side extension and back extension.
What lush scenery! What an amazing day. #pointshoot
Thank you
This is such a lovely post idea and a great way to capture moments. I can’t believe how close to a swan you got, I’ve always thought they can be quite aggressive!
This one is very use to people I think as its such a busy place. He always wanted some food people were happily throwing down for them!
Aww it looks like you had a lovely weekend and Mother’s Day! Cream Tea is always a good choice 🙂
