Our weekend in pictures, a little diary of what we get up to at the weekends together.

Just a bunch of normal family life pictures.

Saturday 28th July 2018 –Camp Bestival day!

This is our 3rd year visiting Camp Bestival but we only do a day visit! It’s great fun and the kids love it there, so we couldn’t wait to visit again.

A woman and four children stand smiling under a colourful rainbow arch made of fabric at Camp Bestival, with crowds and tents visible in the background.

I love being able to take the children to places like this. It’s such an experience and so nice to spend that time with them. It’s something they will always remember I think.

Three children stand in front of a colourful rainbow arch at the entrance to Camp Bestival’s wooded festival area, with bright ribbon decorations and trees in the background—a perfect moment from our Weekend In Pictures.

I am going to do a full blog post on our day there so I won’t pop much here!

A man and a girl smile up at the camera while seated in a red and silver Ferris wheel car at an amusement park, ready for the ride to begin during Tyler's birthday.

Sunday 29th July 2018

It’s Tylers 14th Birthday today! How am I a Mum to a 14yr old!!! It’s gone so quick and he’s growing up so much.

A woman and a young boy are lying in bed together, smiling at the camera. The boy is partly covered by a floral-patterned duvet, and both appear relaxed and happy during Tyler’s Birthday weekend. Three smiling children sit on a bed, hugging each other closely and looking at the camera. Soft, natural light fills the room as they celebrate Tyler's Birthday, creating a joyful weekend in pictures.

Tyler had  a big box to open when he came down this morning!
A boy in a white and blue Hype. T-shirt stands by a large cardboard box in the lounge during Tyler's birthday, studying small paper balls and printed ant images. A sofa with decorative cushions is visible in the background.

A new desk chair! He has wanted a new desk chair for his room for ages. He wanted one that went with his room and was comfy whilst playing his games!
A child with short dark hair sits in a grey chair facing a computer screen on a desk, surrounded by various objects and a yellow lamp. The wall has a geometric triangle pattern—perhaps planning their next Camp Bestival or reminiscing about Tyler's birthday.

He also has been saving up for a big TV for his room and with his birthday money he managed to get one! So off we went to Currys to collect one and then Daddys job to get it up! I forgot to get a picture of it up though!!!  A man in a grey T-shirt uses a power drill to make holes in a patterned wall, preparing to hang something—perhaps decorations for Tyler's birthday. Tools and a piece of paper are visible on the white surface below.

Then he had some visitors, Nana was down anyway so that was nice. But his best friends popped over to see him too. Four children sit closely together on a sofa, smiling and looking at a book one boy is holding, while another stands nearby, also smiling—capturing the joy of Tyler’s Birthday. Family photos and a lamp are visible in the background.

Five smiling children pose together indoors at Tyler's birthday party, with balloons spelling LOVE and birthday cards in the background. The atmosphere is cheerful and festive, capturing a perfect Weekend in Pictures moment.

Also Grandma and Grandad came over too. He was over the moon as they had all bought him some books from a book series he has been collecting.

My kids birthdays usually revolve around food!!! So Tylers choice of Lasagna tonights dinner!!

To all the Mums out there of pre-teens, don’t panic. Your lovely little boy is not going to turn into a stroppy, horrible, smelly boy once they get to 13! This year has been a very good year for Tyler, he is starting to find his own, staying true to himself and getting a wonderful set of friends who enjoy the same things as him and support each other too. I am really enjoying seeing him making his little life choices and I look forward to this next year.

If you don’t already follow me on Instagram

I also post a daily picture, and at the end of the year I put them together into a Photobook.

Sounds like a busy but lovely weekend. I bet you were glad you were only at Camp Bestival for the one day. The Sunday looked horrendous. And happy belated to your boy.

    • I am so glad we decided to book the Saturday and not the Sunday, would have been gutted if we hadn’t gone on the Saturday and missed it this year

    • Yeah it was good fun! I think I saw your little boy…..but I wasn’t sure!! I only stayed for the day as I can’t camp!!!
