When I saw that Chestertons we’re running a competition to win £250 worth of Selfridges vouchers by designing a dream room, I knew whose room I would design!

I ran off to Pinterest to get pinning my ideas to my mood board. T’s room is a small room, it need careful planning and lots of creative ideas. He is outgrowing his room and needs something that will last him a little while, being a pre teen it needs to be grown up but not too grown up as he is just a kid still (in denial he’s growing up!!)

First off I needed to come up with a colour scheme, I came across this very funky letter wall mural. I think it suits a pre teen bedroom or teenager very well. So I based my colour scheme around this and went for a blue, red and black theme.

I love designing kids rooms as you can have so much fun with them!

He needed space for a large bed, desk area, bookcase, shelf’s, lights and most important lots of storage! One little person can accumulate a lot of stuff!

I loved finding lots of funky items for his new room
