We hadn’t visited the beach for a little while due to all the recent storms and our poor beaches really took a hit. I love being able to pop down to the beach for an hour and it only being 15 minute drive away. It has been one of the first sunny days that we have had in a long time and I couldn’t wait to get out and enjoy it, what better place to go than the beach.
Rusty the future Hearing Dogs puppy loves the beach, it sends him loopy!! I am not sure if it’s the wind, water or big open space but he LOVES it!!!
Part of his training is learing to ‘wait’ so we did a bit of this first……note how clean and fluffy he is in this picture!!!
Then he’s off……..

Then a bit more ‘wait’ training as this is the hardest thing to teach them (as well as recall) and down at the beach has lots of temptation and distractions for him. Then once I had finished Hubby did a bit of recall training and he came running, ears flapping and everything!!!
THEN he turned around and saw the most tempting thing in the world……..a seagull! Well he was off, running super fast and loving it!! These pictures were zoomed in too so he had run quite a way, he would stop and see us still there and then carrying on jumping through the waves!! He was having a great time but I was worried as I wasn’t sure how far he would go!
So after a ‘few’ calls, Rusty came running back…….cheeky boy but he did come back!!! Looking rather soggy but very sweet
So there our walk well run ended, we thought after all that jumping, running and swimming he could do with a rest to watch the world go by with me.
He’s even learnt to swish his hair in the wind!!!
