We have been busy renovating our kitchen over the past few months, and I am giving you a sneak preview…..of the lighting! It is a small galley style kitchen that needs as much light as possible, and I also want to create a very light and open space, that makes it feel a lot bigger than it really is!

We have chosen gloss white doors, with a light wood effect worktop. The flooring and tiles are all light colours, and the small spaces that are painted are a warm grey.

So when it came down to the lighting I needed lots in there, and I got just that!!! I ordered a 6 way spotlight set, which gives out so much light.

With the 6 adjustable light heads we can angle the lights so that every part of the kitchen now has light, and no where has any dark areas. The first night we turned them on it was like Blackpool illuminations in there!

This light set also comes in a 8 way if you need even more of any area to cover, however you get so much light from the bulbs.

We ordered the chrome colour choice, which is very mirrored, however if chrome isn’t the colour you’re looking for you have a choice of 6 to choose from.

At £34.99 the price is fantastic, it is really good quality and easy to fit as well.

*I received this light in return for a review, however all opinions are honest and of my own words.

Aaah so exciting — the finishing touches now!! 🙂 Lighting in a kitchen is so important isn’t it? You need great task lighting without it feeling as though you’re being interrogated whilst you’re cooking!! Love what you’ve chosen Steph 🙂

Such great tips. I love a light and airy kitchen so choosing the correct lighting is important to me.

  3. You have put so much thought into your lighting! We put 9 spots into the ceiling when we had our kitchen done – They have cost a fortune over the years (we now have changed to energy efficient which is much better) but yet they are not THAT light. I have serious kitchen envy over your white and grey kitchen.
