Our weekend in pictures, a little diary of what we get up to at the weekends together.

Just a bunch of normal family life pictures.

Saturday 26th May

This weather has been so nice lately, I really hope we don’t get an amazing May and rubbish August! So started the day off with breakfast in the garden. We sorted our garden out last year so it’s nice to be able to use it more and it’s such a relaxing garden.

It was a mixed day today, me and the girls had a quiet day at home catching up on jobs whist the boys had all the fun! With agility and a trip to the cinema to see the new Star Wars movie.

Pom pom making time!

Now it’s half term the girls can have their toes painted! So I finally got on and did mine as well! Whilst watching The Greatest Showman!!

Dinner in garden feels like a treat to the kids now, but I am hoping to make it much more of a summer normal thing. I was sent the Bolsius garden candles to try out, bugs in the evening are a pain aren’t they. These were lovely as they have the citronella in but mixed with different scents. I was really impressed and will use these out in the garden again.

I picked up this candle lighter in the pound shop and it’s been great. Perfect for lighting the candles and not burning my fingers at the same time!!

The thunder and been threatening all evening, weather reports didn’t know if it was coming during the day or evening! We had a lightening show about 10pm, just flash lightening so no good for pictures!

That was the sky lit up with the lightening.

Sunday 27th May

A walk down our local countrypark for lunch

It was like it was abroad, so hot and beautiful blue water and people kayaking.

Tyler usually struggles with photos but I really like this natural one from him. He was spotting Pokemon then looked up at me!

The poor sheep were hot and hiding in the shade!

I think the girls are missing the snow, they were playing with fake snow!

It was my Mums birthday so we all popped over for dinner. We offered to cook for her, but she insisted we went to hers! Burgers, hot dogs and ice cream, what more could we all want!

Lily with Grandads sun hat on!

Dad has Blue Tits nesting in one of their bird boxes so we got to watch them coming back and fourth with caterpillars, spiders and insects for the babies. You could hear them all tweeting for them.

Another Thunderstorm!

*I was sent the Bolsius candle to try out, all thoughts and words are of my own

If you don’t already follow me on Instagram

I also post a daily picture, and at the end of the year I put them together into a Photobook.

  1. The weather has been amazing over the past week. We’re currently decorating so have eaten outside quite a few times which like you my daughter sees as a treat so we need to make it more of a norm. We’ve got some similar candles to help warn off the flies which were also plagued by 🙂

  2. It’s so lovely to see so many outdoor photos, it really has been the most amazing spring. And I love the blue tit and lightening ones in particular – really fab shots. My daughter is currently obsessed with the Greatest Showman so we’ve been watching it too – It looks like you had a perfect Bank Holiday weekend 🙂

  3. Oh wow, great shot in the last picture. I never catch lightening like that. And I love the sound of those candles. We’re plagued by insects during summer which makes eating outside (something we do almost daily) a real chore!

  4. Hi Steph
Your photos are wonderful, we really enjoyed them. It looks you had a great time. We love the pictures of your kids. They have a great smile 🙂 Have a great day!

  5. This looks and sounds like such a wonderful weekend. The night sky has been amazing with all the storms. I love the colour of that nail varnish, it is so delicate and subtle.

    • It’s been nice watching the sky lit up, I don’t mind it when it’s far away and not too loud!!

  6. Great photos – your garden is looking wonderful, making me very envious! Looks like you’ve had a really fun weekend x
