Well the time has come, we have a date for Rusty to go into training to become a fully qualified Hearing Dog for the Deaf.

He will now spend approx 18 weeks learning all his sound work.

Doorbell

Fire alarm

Alerting someone

Telephone

Cooker timer

and many more things which are specific to the deaf person and their needs.

He is going to be an amazing little Hearing Dog and whoever ends up with him will be over the moon.

We went up to where he will be doing his training on Sunday which was lovely to see, the kids can now visualise where he is going to be going and it really is lovely up there. Open spaces and fun places to play, he is going to have great fun!

I am very proud of him and what we have achieved together, so here is a little clip of our year. Feel free to share it around so we can spread the word about Hearing Dogs and puppy socialisation.

The good news is we are doing it all over again!

We have a new Hearing Dog puppy coming to live with us soon! Watch out for our welcome puppy post!
